African Drums Resounded in the sanctuary

One by one children came dancing down the aisles. Watoto Children's Choir from Uganda, South Africa, brought a Concert of Hope. Watoto (Swahili for The Children) is a church-based ministry with the mission of raising the next generation of Ugandan Leaders by placing parentless children in families where they receive necessary love, care, spiritual discipleship, and physical needs. The children of Watoto are among more than 2 million children in Uganda that have lost one or both parents to the AIDS virus or to war. Their newfound joy and hope are evident in the concert and on the faces of the children.
