Are You Resting? Genesis 1 begins with God’s work of creation and for six days, “Evening and Morning were the __ Day.” On the seventh day, God enters into Rest and we can be in that position of resting in Him. In 2 Chronicles 20: 12-22 Israel rests in what God will do.

God is Present Now. We have situations where we freeze frame God in the past. We need to focus on what God is doing now. Rev. 3:20 He is knocking. John 15: 1-11 Abide in the true Vine to bear Fruit. Galatians 5:16-18 Abiding is Walking in His Spirit.

Kingdom thinking does not fixate on problems but asks, “Do I have a higher perspective, strategy, identity and purpose?” I Corinthians 10: 13
Job, Moses and Jesus demonstrate the influence of a circle of people who hold our arms up when we are weak and stand for the same core values with Jesus as the center of our Circle.
I Kings 18-19 relates the contest on Mt. Carmel between Elijah and 450 prophets of Baal but Elijah felt defeated as he sat under a broom tree. Never see life at the end of a tunnel; remember what God has done before and expect the same. He wants to lead us to a deeper season. Psalm 27: 5 He wants to hear our cry and hide us in His shelter. Victory requires preparation for the next victory.
